I went to Quinta Vila Rachel with 4 friends for a night and we loved everything about our stay! The farm visit, the wine tasting, the location, the natural pool and the owners were amazing. Wonderful experience! My wife and I love natural wine and these wines are the real deal- no sulfur, no filtration, regenerative farming, etc. Delicious too! Thiago was an excellent host, took as all around the vineyards & property and answered all of our questions. We enjoyed hearing about the family history and it was evident how much care and passion Thiago has for the land and for using wine to connect with people. The wine, itself, was excellent. Fantastic. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Tiago is doing everything the right way and it shows in everything. If you listen to him it comes over like everything is effortless but you just know how much work and energy is put into the place. The location is magnificent and the wines are really excellent, it's what you hope you will get when you order a natural wine but rarely do. We'll be back for sure! Driving up from the hustle of Porto, this place is heaven in terms of tranquility and natural beauty. Apartments designed with eye for detail, well-equipped including airco, comfortable double bed, sofa bed suitable for younger kids. Sumptous and tasty organic breakfast freshly delivered on terrace each morning. Fantastic natural swimming pool. Life doesn't get much better than lying on a pool deck chair at night, gazing the stars (no artificial light pollution) while sipping on lovely home made wine. Tiago talks with passion about his family heritage, wines and olive oil. It's one of those places you'd like to keep to yourself instead of spreading the word, but as sharing is caring a stop at Quinta Vila Rachel is highly recommended.
